Solo exhibition of paintings by a contemporary Renowned artist, Virendra Chopde is showing his recent work at Kismat Art Gallery, 11, Dena Bank Building, 3rd Pasta Lane, opposite Colaba Market, Mumbai 400005 from 13th to 16th February 2025 between 11 am to 7 pm.
This show was inaugurated on 13th February 2025 by Chief Guest Philip D’Mello(Eminent Artist), Guest of Honour Vinita Mirchandani(Owner of Gallery Studio – 3) in the presence of Vishakha Apte, Shilpa Pachpor, Sheetal Bawkar, Ashwita Meher, Prof. Vinod Chachere, Ashish Telangur, Yogesh Patil, Umesh Patil, Vinayak Sarvankar, Shubham Kesur among others.
When a creative visual artist begins to reveal the realistic contours of mixed emotions through his artwork by assimilating human life and elements of nature; then his ability to understand everything that comes within the scope of human thought reveals his sensitive nature. Over time, that sensitivity becomes an integral part of his creative lifestyle and beautiful artworks that directly touch every aspect of life are born from it. Virendra Chopde, who depicts states such as love, friendship, devotion, innocence, anger, greed, sorrow, pain, loneliness, separation, hope, expectation and aspiration with the help of shapes in nature, has created a unique identity in the art world.
Virendra Chopde, who has a broad perspective on life through a beautiful combination of philosophical attitude, command over various color media, and fluid handling, and who has painted subtle and fluid colors of emotions through the shapes of leaves and flowers in nature, has organized a solo exhibition “Gulzar” at the ‘Kismat Art Gallery’ in Colaba, Mumbai under the Chapkhana Group. This exhibition is open to art lovers from 10 am to 7 pm till February 16.
The artworks displayed in this art gallery are full of the combined concepts of human images, chaffa flowers and leaves. The peace expressed in each painting, the extraordinary lively emotion in the female and male images and the compassion that seeps through them, and the background of the shape in nature given to the painting have given the paintings a realistic depth. The texture of the surface of the painting, the color, and the figurative lines created through the suggestive use of symbols have become a delicate emotional revelation. The boundlessness expressed in the artwork ‘Bappa’, which has a Ganesh idol on the hand of a female figure against a background of a chafa(plumeria flower) leaf, is profound. To show that luminosity, the idol of Ganesha and the chafa flower have been depicted in this painting. The sense of peace expressed in the painting is mesmerizing.
Other artworks in this exhibition are equally meaningful. Various flowers, leaves in nature, their fragrance, and touch are reflected on separate canvases from Virendra Chopde’s inner mind. The nuances, shape of the leaves, proportional color combination, texture, visual experience, and sensations in the artwork With eyes closed and deep in thought, this artwork with a crescent moon on its head establishes a serene peace. The confidence in the subtle acrylic painting in that painting is admirable. The dark color used in the background to create a sense of deep space in the painting. The use of cool colors in the background of the painting and warm colors in the foreground creates a relationship of specific and forms. The use of warm colors like red, orange, and yellow gives the artwork a contrast in both color and value. His paintings also communicate with the viewer on an intellectual level.

This painter from Nagpur is currently working as a lecturer in the Drawing and Painting Department at J.K. Academy of Art and Design, Mumbai. This artist, who captures the excitement of human beauty through his diverse works of art, has been honored at the regional and national levels.
